In Year 10 and Year 11 your child will study…

Pupils can gain 1 GCSE in mathematics through  a higher or foundation course.  Both are assessed by examination only.

Starting in 2017 pupils will be assessed on a scale of 1-9 rather than the traditional A* - G, with more focus on ratio and proportion and higher level algebra topics.

The new GCSE is designed to extend pupils’ thinking and to develop their problem solving and functional skills.
