Celebrating 25 years service

On Wednesday 27 April, Mrs Rachel Hammond received a Long Service Award from Derbyshire County Council.  This was in recognition of 25 years’ service, teaching in Derbyshire Schools. Mrs Hammond began teaching in 1990, and has taught at Parkside since 2002. Mrs Hammond, who is the Deputy Headteacher at Parkside, said, “I am very proud of this award. As a child I was educated in Derbyshire schools, and completed my teacher training at Derbyshire College of Higher Education. I feel very privileged  to have spent my career teaching children in the county where I received my education. 25 years have flown by.”
